My walk

I went for a walk along the beach today, it was a high temperature of about 28 degrees with a humidex of 34 degrees. I started my stroll along the Burlington beach and walked as far as I could towards Spencer Smith park. There were a lot of people there, I am surprised on how many said hello. The people along that beach seem so friendly, where as in Hamilton, you are lucky if you get a hello.

The beach down there is so sandy with no rocks and seaweed. The water is clear and it was so warm to the touch. You can walk out for quite a while. The shoreline is clean and the sand between the toes is wonderful. The shores have children building sand castles and splashing around, being so innocent.

I walked towards the pier and as I walked along the waves washed up against my ankles and the sun beamed down on me and I felt so at peace. I walked towards the pier and as I walked along I ended up under the lift bridge where the boats and the seadoos sped by. As I walked towards the end of the peir a soft wind was blowing my hair and the sound of the seagulls chirped in the background. The fish were jumping as I walked by.

I got to the end of the pier and I sat up on the ledge and I looked down at the water and saw a large school of huge fish swim by my feet. The minows were schooling around the edge of the pier. The birds were nose diving for the fish and the geese swam by.

At that point, I looked up at the sky and I prayed to God that he would watch over me and protect me. I thanked him for the world and all the beauties in the world.

After about an hour, I walked back down the secret path and headed back to the beach. The sun was starting to desend and the day was starting to close in. As I walked along the beach I encountered many dogs playing fetch with their owners. The owners threw the ball using a large spatula type claw that threw the ball far enough to have the dog exercise and swim.

My walk tonight has made me feel relaxed, Calm and free. It has made me feel inspired and mesmerized that I can live in such a great place. I am looking forward to being content with my life and in the near future, I am sure I will succeed.

Until next time,

Year books and highschool

The other day, i went to my moms house and i was looking for my diploma and i stumbled upon my highschool year books. Its funny as I leafed through the pages and looked at all the comments written on the front and the back of the covers i realized how much fun i really had in highschool. I looked at Crystal's words and Nicole's. Vanessa's and Deanna's. Tina's and Amy's and all the others.

As i was leafing through the pages looking at all the people that are in there, wondering where they all are and what they may be upto. Looking at the different groups and the sports teams, often wondering why i did not join in on anything. Sometimes i feel as though i missed out. But mostly am glad that i did not partake in the teams.

Latley, Facebook.com has offered me the opportunity to rekindle those relationships that i had with my friends from highschool. Also, offers me the opportunity to talk to those people that i was not necessarily close to but went to highschool with. To look at their profiles, and look at their pictures and let the pictures tell the story.

I remember that accident in Caledonia in 1993 when the girls where coming back from the mall on the night before Valentine's day and their car had crashed killing mostly all of them. I think of them and wonder how different their lives would have been if they did not go into the city that night.

I think of all the crazy things i did when i was in highschool, shaving my head, car rides at lunch - smoking and laughing with my friends.

I remember on how we all wished that we were old so that we could do what we want and get out of the city. Now, I wish i could go back and relive it. No responsibility, no job, no bills.

I wonder why we rush and wish our lives to be over, just to find out that years down the road it may not be what its all cracked up to be. LOL.

Enjoy your lives

Enjoy life for NOW!!
